on the Islands Cres & Lošinj

The big variety of interesting destinations offers something for each taste.

The neighboring Island of Cres is separated by a narrow channel with a bridge. On the island you will find a sub-tropical vegetations with palms, pines, agaves, oleander, citrus trees, sage and lavender.

The main town Mali Losinj, the romantic Veli Losinj and the small towns Nerezine, Cunski, the Island of Losinj offer all possibilities for an active, relaxing and restful holiday.

Another destination is the beautiful peninsula Istria or the neighbor Island Krk. It can be reached by ferry. Furthermore, there is the possibility of a boat ride to Rijeka and explore the largest city in the Kvarner area.

Cres

Cres is the biggest city on the island which shares the same name and the second largest city of the archipelago. Venetian influence can best be experienced while strolling through the narrow streets and alleys. The numerous churches, palaces, city gates and towers allude to the city’s ancient history.

Valun & Lubenice

Come and visit the small, romantic seaport of Valun and the mountain village of Lubenice. On summer evenings, well known musical performances take place here.

Orlec

The town of Orlec is situated 240 m above sea level, not directly at the sea and lives exclusively on sheep farming. Orlec is derived from the Croatian word “Orao” which means eagle (griffon vulture). A colony of griffon vultures has settled down in the direct vicinity. You can already see them circling the sky from a distance.

Osor

The musical evenings of Osor from mid July to mid August are without doubt one of the cultural highlights of the islands and the entire Kvarner area. Lovers of classical music should not miss this summer highlight.

Punta Križa

Since this town is situated on a bank, the sea is visible from all sides. Punta Križa is an intersection for the village roads which lead to the various shepherd settlements. Since the town lies far away from the main road and can only be reached over a very narrow, curvy street, you will inevitably find rest and relaxation here. The forest with holm oaks and wild animals let you experience nature up close.

Sweetwater Lake Vrana

This lake is considered an unusual natural phenomenon. It supplies both islands with drinking water.
