Arrival via Slovenia – road tax disc obligatory. A road tax disc has been obligatory for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (with or without trailers of any weight) on motorways and highways in Slovenia since 01.07.208. This replaces the previous road charge system.

Annual road tax disc (valid from 01.12.08 – 31.01.2010) EUR 55 / 6-monthly road tax disc (valid 6 months after date of issue) EUR 35. It is necessary to have a valid road tax disc immediately on passing over the Spielfeld / Sentilj border. There is no exception, even if you only travel to the first exit. Every accident should be recorded at the local police station. Vehicles with damage to their car body require a ‚confirmation of damages’ letter issued by police for departure abroad. Caution: 0.0 blood alcohol level in Croatia. A road charge is to be paid on certain stretches of motorways. Some bridges are also toll roads and a road charge is to be paid.
