The northern part of the island of Cres is part of the sub Mediterranean zone, the rest of the island group of the Mediterranean zone. The climate is sunny and mild, with warm, dry summers and rainy autumns and winters.The average air temperature in summer is 28°C. The sea temperature in summer is 24°C. The most common winds are Bora (north-easterly wind), Jugo (southerly wind) and Maestral (north-westerly wind).
